The foundation of the company was laid by Late Shri L. S. Bindra in 1921 at Lahore He started his career as an importer and used to import automobile parts from companies like General Motors Acceptance Corp. Stevens Walden Inc Thompson-Neaylon Manufacturing Co Warner Gear Company Gebr-Haeckel Johns Manville International and turned out to be one ofthe leading importers of automobile parts in the country.

Bindra Motors blended business practice with principle while catering to the needs of its clients and it has held on fast to these principles which it considers absolutely essential for successfulfunctionning of any business. The principles which have guided us in our endeavuor are as follows:

In the year 1960 the company took up the distributorship of Mahindra Sintered Products Ltd.. Now owned by GKN-UK. It is manufacturing the largest range if sintered bushes and components in the world.

In the year 1965 the company became distributor of Dr. Beck & Co. (India) Ltd. a leader in insulating varnish & epoxy resins in India now a part of ELANTAS group ofcompanies USA.
The above products are successfully marketed by Bindra Motors in India and it has won laurels year after year since 1960.

In the year 2007 the company started its Manufacturing Unit for Automotive Control Cables under the tradename of AUTOHOM. These products meet the highest international standard and are being well accepted in the domestic & international market.
