Founded at Ahmedabad in 1935 by Shamaldas H. Worah grandfather of the present CEO Yashesh Worah - Natwarlal Shamaldas Group activities were launched with mining and distribution of coal. NATWARLAL SHAMALDAS & COMPANY is one of the leading distributors of coal throughout India.

From then onwards there was no looking back and the company opened branches across India at within the next few years the group has been catering the needs of textile power generation industry engineering units paper and sugar mills since then Surat Ahmedabad Nagpur Chandrapur and Wani.

In 1950 Shri Natwarlal S. Worah father of present CEO commenced exporting to principal buyers like Sumitomo CITOH Mitsui & Co. Ltd. Marubeni Co. Ltd. Nichlmen Ltd. and several others. The Czechoslovakian Government was another main buyer of Manganese ore and iron ore from Natwarlal Shamaldas & Company. The reputation of the company as suppliers of quality material established their reputation as most desired supply partner.

In 2000 Yashesh Worah younger son of Natwarlal S. Worah saw great opportunities in coal beneficiation and led the group toward coal preparation of power generation. He entered into joint venture with a leading British Consultants to supply and manage our plant at Chandrapur.

N S Coal Pvt. Ltd. has its own in house capabilities to design build and operate a high yield coal preparation plant to produce a low ash content coal in shortest gestation period.

Under the dynamic stewardship of Yashesh the company has diversified into Real Estate sector that of development of affordable housing for weaker section of the society. Yashesh has led the company's foray into trading in agro products both nationally and internationally as he believes in expansion into areas closer to mother earth.
