The Arasan Aluminium Industries (P) Ltd, a leading producer of Aluminium powders and pigments was established in 1981 as a subsidiary of The Arasan Group of Industries, founded by A.M.S.Ganesan. Aluminium powder, the basic raw material for Fireworks, Slurry explosives and other industrial applications was being imported previously from foreign countries by all Indian industries. Considering the increasing demand of Aluminium powder, a manufacturing unit was setup at Melamathur village (12kms from SIVAKASI), Tamil Nadu, India with an initial capacity of 150 MT of Pyrotechnic Aluminium powder per annum.
